Silk runs on a number of cryptographic and distributed primitives such as:

  • Mishti Network, a scalable decentralized extractor (for extracting entropy)

    • Users and wallets may use this once public testnet launches Q2 2024, or by contacting us to use the currently permissioned mainnet

    • Robust anti-collusion mechanisms make the network secure for sensitive data

  • 2PC-MPC with dWallet network to decentralize the silk "server" for full censorship resistance (coming soon)

  • ZKPs of identity and low-entropy biometrics for wallet recovery

  • Consumer-device-friendly zero-knowledge arguments based on VOLE-in-the-head
